Congratulations Luke McHugh appointed Women's Football Coach

We’re excited to announce that LUKE MCHUGH has been appointed coach of our senior women’s team in 2026. 

Luke has coached female and male football teams for over 12 years in total at Carrum Patterson Lakes Junior Football Club, Bonbeach Football Netball Club, St Kilda Next Generation and Vic Metro (female). 

He had a year off last year and is excited to get back involved having watched us from the sidelines last year supporting his daughter Claudia. His philosophy is making sure everyone has fun while getting the best out of each and every player which makes him a great match for the foundation work we did this year with our first ever senior women’s team. 

He is already well connected at Chelsea and will help reinforce our one club culture and strengthen the senior pathway for our juniors. 

Please join us in welcoming Luke to the Chelsea nest. Luke will be supported by John Kelly, Kris Abaloz and Paul Magri who are all committed again in 2026.
