Glenn was still only sixteen when he first broke into the senior side, but he already had the necessary physical attributes to mix it with men, as he showed in his two  seasons in the Firsts.
He was often tested to the limit physically by strong, older, mature opponents, but he always absorbed the punishment and was straight back ‘on song’ doing the hard pack work of clearing the ball to advantage.
