Tom Johnstone was a name well known in the Chelsea community back in the 60"s. Tom Johnstone Menswear was a local icon and it's owner Tom Johnstone was a great sponsor of the Chelsea Football Club. In 1965 and 1966 Tom took the relationship one step further when he took on the demanding role as President of The Club.

Tom Johnstone was heavily involved with the local Council and during that time he had a stint as the Mayor of The City Chelsea.

The pavilion at Chelsea Reserve now carries his name, "The Tom Johnstone Pavilion".
