Well why wouldn’t Chelsea Football Club claim some credit for the amazing achievements of this great Australian? After all, he established his strong competitive spirit at the club and simply transferred those basic lessons to a different sporting pursuit.
Whilst that may be stretching it a little, we do know that John was a promising young ruckman with the Seagulls before he chose the path to greater fame and fortune through yachting.
